July 4th Parade – Sunbury
Harlem Township Heritage will be putting together the Harlem Township float on Monday, July 3, at the Maintenance Building at 5:30pm. Final touches will be added in Sunbury, Big Walnut High School parking lot, on the 4th at 8am. The parade theme this year is "Honoring Our Heroes". Harlem Township's float is honoring Richard W. Thompson, Revolutionary War Fife Major and Drum Major who served seven years during that war and then settled in Harlem Township in 1808. Members of the Thompson family will be riding on the float. Anyone interested in helping is welcome to come either time.
